For Nate

Last night Nate, who owns this site and is kind enough to let me babble on it, informed me and others on Crooks&Liars that he found out that a friend of his was killed in Iraq. Another friend is coming home with a prosthetic arm.

We all too often accept the killing and the horrendous injuries that occur in war as background noise.

Nate’s friend’s family lost a son, a brother and perhaps a father. America has lost another soldier. Some care, some are not even aware. We have gained another victim who needs to adjust. And he will, we all do, I suppose.

To Nate I want to say, I am sorry.

To Bush I want to say, GO TO HELL!
